Hobbies and party

A couple weeks ago, for DD birthday, we went to a
paint your own pottery place.
DD had fun and was very happy when
she got the pieces back.
She painted a unicorn....

And a bowl for Georgette that even has
the letter "G" in the bottom of it.

I painted an Easter egg.

Last Saturday we went to DH'S mom and dads house

for a birthday party.

DH's nephew Josh, dad Gilbert

DD and DS#2

They celebrate birthdays in groups, so this

time it was for March and Aprils birthdays.

Signs of Spring

I went into the yard this morning looking for signs of spring.
I was happy to find our tree nearest the house is
beginning to bud out.
DD and Mack spent some time running around in the
yard. It is nice to see the yard again after having
snow covering it for the past few months.

My honeysuckle is also greening up.

DH and the boys will be busy again this year mowing and trimming. This grass is already
about 6 inches high in one spot along the sidewalk in the warmest part of our yard.

I was very happy the other day when I noticed the crocus in the front flower garden blooming, a sure sign of spring!

1st blog entry!

Ok everyone, this is my 1st attempt at 'blogging'! Thanks to Rachel and her mom Elisa for inspiring me to try this!

We bought a new grill today (old one was NASTY). DH and DS #1 AND #2 spent a couple hours putting it together--but here it is! We are going to have hamburgers tonight and see how it works.

In the spirit of totally overloading ourselves--we also got a new dog.

His name is Mack and he is mini-Australian shepard and blue heeler mix. So far he is doing really well. Sleeps at our feet and follows DD around like, well, like a puppy. Georgette (our pug) is not quite friends with him yet but they are working on their relationship and we have high hopes for them.
This is DD cleaning the coffee table. She loves to have her picture taken so I figured that taking her picture as she was cleaning counts for positive reinforcement, right?

I am hoping that this blog posts correctly, that people can actually read it, and that you all enjoy seeing pictures and catching up on what we are doing.
